Kahlyn’s practice is focused on assisting clients with estate planning, elder law, guardianships, special needs trusts, and estate administration. Kahlyn is a member of the Elder Law Section of the Indiana Bar and the Probate, Trust & Real Property Section. In 2025, Kahlyn became a Board Certified Trust and Estate Lawyer, by the Trust and Estate Specialty Board.
Kahlyn earned her law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2017 and her bachelor’s degree from Butler University in 2014 and is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, Michiana Estate Planning Council, and the American Bar Association.
Born and raised in South Bend, Kahlyn grew up working in her family’s restaurant, an early experience that instilled in her the values of hard work, service, and community. Today, she and her husband are devoted parents to twins, and her days are full, lively, and deeply rewarding. Family remains at the center of her life, including her three dogs who ensure her home is always filled with warmth, energy, and occasional chaos.
Her path to Elder Law was a deeply personal one. When her grandmother was diagnosed with dementia, she witnessed firsthand how complex and emotional aging-related legal issues can be for families. That experience shaped her calling and continues to guide her work with compassion and purpose.
Outside of work, one of her most cherished traditions is attending the Indy 500—a race Kahlyn has not missed since 2005. More than just an event, it is an annual ritual rich with history, excitement, and meaningful family memories.
