SOUTH BEND, Ind./CASSOPOLIS, Mich. – (March 15, 2022). The law firm of THK Law, LLP, is pleased to announce that two partners, Jennifer VanderVeen and Adam Russell, have been certified by the Indiana State Bar Association’s Trust & Estate Specialty Board as Certified Trust & Estate Lawyers.

VanderVeen has been with the firm since 2013, focusing her practice in Elder Law, Special Needs Law, and Estate Planning. She is also a Certified Elder Law Attorney. She counsels clients in the areas of special needs trusts, guardianships, veteran’s benefits, Medicaid benefits, Trusts and Estates. She is the past President of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and is a member of NAELA’s Council of Advanced Practitioners (CAP). VanderVeen earned her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and her bachelor’s degree from Albion College. She is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, St. Joseph County Bar Association and Cass County Michigan Bar Association.
Russell has been with the firm since 2011, focusing his practice in Estate Planning and administration, including real estate and business issues, and planned giving. Russell earned his law degree from Notre Dame Law School and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, St. Joseph County Bar Association, and Cass County Michigan Bar Association.
