SOUTH BEND, Ind./CASSOPOLIS, Mich. – (January 2, 2025). The law firm of THK Law, LLP, is pleased to announce the promotion of Elizabeth “Libby” Klesmith to partner.

Libby’s leadership and contributions have strengthened our team, and we look forward to her continued success in this new role.”

Klesmith joined THK Law in 2014 after earning her law degree from Notre Dame Law School. She also holds a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Mich. Over the past decade, she has cultivated a broad legal practice that includes civil litigation, insurance defense, real estate law, and trademark law. She has represented clients in a wide variety of matters, including medical malpractice, contract disputes, employment defense, and real estate transactions.

Klesmith is admitted to practice law in Indiana and Michigan, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and the Western District of Michigan. She is active in the legal profession, currently serving as the chair-elect of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. She is also involved with the American Bar Association, the St. Joseph County Bar Association (where she served as president from 2021–2022), and the Cass County Bar Association.

Her accomplishments have earned recognition from Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in AmericaThe Indiana Lawyer (Leadership in Law – Up and Coming Lawyer honoree in 2023), and a spot in the Michiana Forty Under 40 Class of 2020 for her professional achievements and community involvement.

Beyond her legal career, Klesmith is deeply committed to the South Bend community. She is a past board member and current volunteer and committee member of the South Bend Civic Theatre. Her community involvement also includes active participation in the Junior League of South Bend, the Young Professionals Network, Reins of Life, and the Youth Service Bureau, as well as mentoring Notre Dame Law School students.
